Emmaus Merseyside has secured a prize of £4k at the Steve Morgan Foundation 20th Anniversary Awards.
On Monday 28 March, Emmaus Merseyside was one of several charities recognised at the Steve Morgan Foundation 20th Anniversary Conference & Awards at Carden Park Hotel. Emmaus scooped a runners-up prize of £4k in the ‘best Volunteer Team with turnover above £250k’ award category.
Janet, a gardening volunteer at Emmaus Merseyside, said: “The event was fantastic and when it was announced we had secured the runner up prize, I nearly fell off the stage! The recognition means we have achieved something, we’re getting there, and other people have recognised that we’re getting somewhere. It’s given all us volunteers an uplift and increased pride in what we do.”
