The Hub & Coffee Shop at Emmaus Merseyside is our brand-new, purpose-built space to meet, relax, learn and connect. You can visit us through the week for a brew, some light bites and a chat with members of our community. We’re also planning events and workshops throughout the year to bring people together, teach new skills and connect with nature.
Enjoy a cup of freshly ground coffee from beans sourced by our friends at Crosby Coffee. Tuck into one of our homemade cakes or daily specials, prepared within the Emmaus Merseyside community kitchen. Watch our community garden grow and taste delicious food prepared using ingredients sourced from our garden.
The Hub is a social enterprise operating on a not-for-profit basis, where any surplus funds raised are reinvested to support the Emmaus Merseyside charity.
Coffee for a cause
Emmaus Merseyside is an award-winning charity that provides a home, training, work opportunities and individual support to people who have experienced homelessness. All surplus funds raised at The Hub & Coffee Shop is used to support our residential community in Seaforth, home for up to 30 people who have experienced homelessness. The Hub also provides learning and development opportunities to the people we support and you will be likely served by one of our residents.
From our patio area or from inside The Hub & Coffee Shop, you’ll get to enjoy the ever-changing view of the plants, flowers, produce and colours of our community garden through the seasons. Feel free to chat to our Horticultural Supervisor or one of our team about gardening tips, advice and volunteer opportunities.
If you’re visiting The Hub, why not visit our large Charity Superstore too? It’s only a six-minute walk away and filled with a wide range of furniture, electrical items, homewares, clothes and bric-a-brac.

If you’re planning a private party, small event or meeting, The Hub & Coffee Shop at Emmaus Merseyside offers a unique space with on-site facilities and catering tailored to your needs. The Hub can comfortably welcome upto 14 guests for private events of at least two hours. Get in touch with your event details and we will provide you with more information and confirm your booking.

The Hub & Coffee Shop at Emmaus Merseyside is located next to Seaforth & Litherland Station, just off Church Road (A5036).
The Hub & Coffee Shop is only a four-minute walk from Seaforth & Litherland Station. Turn left out of the station onto Seaforth Road and then left again onto School Lane. Walk down the path joining School Lane to Kepler Street, past the Emmaus Merseyside community building, and you will see the gates to our community garden and The Hub.
If you’re travelling to us by bus, numbers 53Q, 144 and 781 all stop on Seaforth Road at the junction of School Lane. Visit the Merseytravel website for more information and to plan your journey using public transport.
