Honora Crisp has been appointed as the new Business Manager at Emmaus Merseyside.
Honora will oversee operations at both the Emmaus Merseyside community building and social enterprise, establishing new partnerships and further developing the charity. Honora brings with her a wealth of experience from her previous roles in area management with Scope and St. Vincent de Paul and as Income Generation Manger at Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
Honora Crisp, Business Manager at Emmaus Merseyside, said: “I am delighted to have been given this opportunity. It is both a privilege and a pleasure to be working alongside the staff and companions to develop our social enterprise activities and create a safe, nurturing environment where our companions can grow in confidence and learn new skills.”
Emmaus Merseyside supports formerly homeless people by providing a stable home and meaningful work for as long as they need it. The charity runs three social enterprises in Merseyside, taking in and selling donated and refurbished furniture, household goods, bric-a-brac and vintage pieces.
Nigel Mellor, Chair of Emmaus Merseyside, said: “We are delighted Honora has joined us here at Emmaus Merseyside. She brings a wealth of experience from the charity retail sector and we look forward to working with her and benefitting from her knowledge and experience as we develop our social enterprise activities over the coming months and years ahead.”
Everyone supported at Emmaus Merseyside works in the social enterprise at one of three sites across Merseyside. All of the money generated from the Emmaus social enterprise is re-invested to support formerly homeless people at the charity.
