Emmaus Merseyside has received a generous donation of cleaning products and personal protective equipment (PPE) worth £21k from Mulberry Innovations.

The 10-pallet donation from Mulberry Innovations included a mix of cloths, mops, buckets and soap dispensers along with hygienic hand gel and face masks. Donated items will be used within our community home, Charity Superstore and distributed to other groups and charities in need.

Osman Nidai, Managing Director of Mulberry Innovations, said: “We are delighted to be able to support Emmaus again with a donation which will help to keep people safe in their home and workplace. The Mulberry Innovations team is proud to support different Emmaus communities across the country as well as other groups connected to their work.”

Mulberry Innovations is a leading manufacturer, importer and distributor of cleaning, hygiene and bespoke products to the professional, wholesale and retail sectors. The Essex-based firm has supported Emmaus UK by donating items to Emmaus Merseyside and other Emmaus communities across the country.

Emmaus Merseyside is an award-winning charity that provides a home, training, work opportunities and individual support to people who have experienced homelessness. Our charity has a 28-bedroom community building in Seaforth where people are given a home and support for as long as they need it.

Marc Bamber, Chief Operating Officer at Emmaus Merseyside, said: “The huge donation from Mulberry Innovations will help us maintain cleanliness within our community home and Charity Superstore. The PPE items will also help to keep our people safe and due to the volume of items, other groups and charities will benefit too. On behalf of everyone at Emmaus Merseyside, sincere thanks to Osman and the team at Mulberry Innovations.”

Emmaus Merseyside operates a large Charity Superstore in Seaforth which generates the majority of funds needed to sustain the charity’s work. The Superstore sells a wide range of second-hand furniture, household goods, electrical items, clothing and bric-a-brac.
