We are really looking forward to welcoming you back to our Emmaus Merseyside charity stores. Before you visit us, please read on to find out about our reopening plans, donating goods and the Covid-19 safety measures we have in place.
We are doing everything in our power to ensure the well-being of our community members and all supporters. To ensure the safety of our team and all visitors, we have carried out a risk assessment for reopening and put in place measures to minimise the risk of virus transmission. If you are showing any coronavirus symptoms or feel unwell in any way, please do not visit our charity stores.
The Emmaus Merseyside Charity Superstore in Seaforth has now reopened. Our opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 9:30am-4:30pm but please note we will be closed on Saturday 17 April. Our two Charity Re-Use Shops will remain closed for the time being.
To ensure that physical distancing rules are maintained, our team will be monitoring the number of people within the store. We are limiting the amount of people in store at any one time so you may be required to queue prior to entry. We ask that all visitors wear a face covering and sanitise their hands on entry at our sanitiser stations.
Please follow the directional arrows around the store and ensure that you maintain at least a 2 metre distance from others at all times. If you are visiting as a family, please stick together closely and ensure that children stay with adults at all times. When purchasing items, please pay by card and use contactless payments where possible. A local delivery service is available for larger purchases but we do have some additional safety controls in place.
Unfortunately we are unable to accept any drop-off donations at the present time. We will however resume safe collections of larger furniture items and you can book a collection using our online request form.
We will continue to follow the latest advice and guidance from government, our local authority and the Charity Retail Association. Keep checking our website and social media pages for the latest information and any changes to our operations. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns via [email protected] .
With your support, the reopening of our superstore will bring companions valued social interaction as well as much needed income for our charity. Massive thanks for your continued support of Emmaus Merseyside and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
The majority of the funds we need to survive are generated through our social enterprise. The temporary closures of our Emmaus Merseyside charity stores due to the Covid-19 situation poses a significant risk to our charity. We know it’s tough for everyone at the moment but any gift you can spare will help us get through this difficult time.
