Emmaus is a nationwide movement of charities supporting people to move on from homelessness. Through our communities and social enterprises, we help people rebuild their lives with dignity, purpose and belonging.

Emmaus Medway is closing its doors

Emmaus Medway has sadly had to close its doors after 10 years of supporting homeless and socially excluded people.

This is due to the lease on the community home coming to an end and no suitable alternative being identified.

Since it opened, Emmaus Medway has supported around 600 people to overcome homeless.

Companions who were living at Emmaus Medway when it closed have been supported to move to new local accommodation, or to relocate to another Emmaus community in the UK.

Trustees, staff and companions would like to thank everyone who has supported Emmaus Medway.
