Terry Waite launches Xmas Tree Festival

Terry Waite Melton Mowbray Christmas Tree Festival

The Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland Melton Mowbray shop opened in May and we enjoy getting involved in events in the local community. We're proud that President of Emmaus UK Terry Waite will be opening the town's famous Christmas Tree Festival this year.

It was the biggest and best Christmas Tree Festival in the country last year, smashing records. This year's festival in St Mary's Church, Melton Mowbray, promises to be even bigger and more spectacular than ever before.

This year's tree lights will be officially switched on by Terry Waite CBE at a wine and buffet evening to launch the event on Thursday 30 November. Tickets for this special event cost £8.50 and are available in the reception office of Melton Mowbray's Samworth Centre.

Melton Mowbray Christmas Tree Festival

Months of planning and hard work have gone into this year's Christmas Tree Festival where a mixture of businesses, schools and organisations gather in the church to weave their magic and try to create new and original themes for their trees. The Christmas Tree Festival is now in its fifteenth year and runs from Friday 1 December until Tuesday 5 December 2017.
