Do you want to help people to rebuild their lives after facing homelessness?
Our Hinckley-based homelessness charity is looking for a highly motivated individual to offer support and guidance to people who have experienced (or been at risk of) homelessness and help them to find a positive way to move forward with their lives.
Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland is a non-religious organisation offering people who’ve faced homelessness, known as companions, an opportunity to work with us to rebuild their lives.
At Emmaus, people are provided with a home, longer-term tailored support and work opportunities.
Our Support Worker is responsible for assisting companions and their welfare and wellbeing. This involves carrying out risk assessments, inductions, carrying out support sessions, liaising with our Emporium charity shop to ensure companions are gaining meaningful training and development in their work, and building relationships with agencies in the area to provide specialist help.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled support worker, who has a ‘can-do’ attitude and really wants to make a difference.
