Our van is the lifeblood of our Hinckley-based homelessness charity, but after more than 10 years it’s spending more time in the garage than on the road. Every donation helps us support people to move on and rebuild their lives.
We’re very grateful to the Inner Wheel Club of Hinckley for inviting us to their 75th Anniversary Charter Event and supporting our work with a generous £200 donation.
The afternoon tea event was held recently at St Francis Community Centre in Hinckley. One of the people being supported by our homelessness charity gave an inspiring talk about his journey and how Emmaus has helped.
Thank you to Hinckley President Lorna Nichols and all members of the Inner Wheel for their hospitality and generosity. It was a lovely event and we were proud to provide vintage cups, saucers, plates and cake stands from our Emporium charity shop in Hinckley to help set the scene.
