As colder weather hits, staff at Jurys Inn Hinckley Island Hotel have teamed up to gather supplies for local rough sleepers.
The hotel has kindly selected Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland as its charity partner for 2019/20.
As part of this year of support, the team have been collecting essentials for rough sleepers – we recently visited the hotel to meet staff and collect many bags filled with items such as warm clothing and sleeping bags.
We’re very grateful to the staff at Jurys Inn for choosing to support our charity. The things they’ve just donated will definitely be put to good use as outside temperatures drop. At this time of year, people who are sleeping rough are often even more vulnerable.
We prepare for this time of year by stocking up on items including winter clothing, sleeping bags and essential toiletries. As always, we are spreading the word to invite anyone sleeping rough or otherwise in need to drop into our Emporium shop on Hinckley’s Stockwell Head to collect supplies for free.
