This week, as part of Trustees’ Week, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the dedication and hard work of our trustees at Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland.
Trustees play a vital role in shaping the future of our charity, offering guidance, governance, and a wealth of experience. Their commitment helps us provide a home, support, and work opportunities for people who have faced homelessness.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Peter, our outgoing Chair of Trustees. Peter’s leadership has been invaluable in shaping the direction of Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland, and his commitment to supporting our charity has been unwavering.
When asked why he decided to become a trustee, Peter shared:
“I wanted to support a charity local to me, with a worthwhile purpose, and one small enough that I might actually see the difference I’m making. Emmaus ticked all of those boxes.”
Peter’s passion for our cause has made a lasting impact, and we’re grateful for the years of guidance he’s provided during his time as Chair.
As we look to the future, we’re currently recruiting for a new Chair to join our board, as well as a Treasurer and additional trustees to support the growth and development of Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland. Becoming a trustee is a unique opportunity to contribute your skills and expertise to a charity that has a meaningful, lasting impact on the lives of those who need it most.
If you’re interested in joining our team of trustees, we would love to hear from you. For more information on the roles and how to apply, please visit our Trustee Vacancies Page.
We’re proud of the diverse group of individuals who currently make up our board, each bringing their own experience and perspective to the charity. To learn more about our trustees and the valuable roles they play at Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland, visit our Meet our trustees page.
Thank you once again to all our trustees!
