Van Appeal: Help us buy a new charity van

Our van is the lifeblood of our Hinckley-based homelessness charity, but after more than 10 years it’s spending more time in the garage than on the road. Every donation helps us keep changing lives in Hinckley and beyond.

Donate now

At Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland, we’re grateful for every donation to our Emporium charity shop in Hinckley – but we’re also facing a growing problem with clothes, shoes and bags that we can’t sell.

Each year, we receive over 1,000 bin bags’ worth of soiled, damaged or poor-quality clothing that we’re unable to resell. That’s a huge amount of waste – and we have to pay to dispose of it.

We rely on shop income to support people who’ve experienced homelessness, so every penny we spend on waste disposal is money we can’t use elsewhere.

By donating clean, good-quality items only, you’ll help us reduce costs and do more to support people rebuilding their lives.

If you’re ever unsure whether we can accept an item, please give us a call or speak to a member of our team before donating.

Thank you for your continued support.
