Zoe lives in Hull and volunteers at the Lockwood Street premises. Our director, Kelly Finnis told her about the opportunity to volunteer and Zoe was quick to take her up on the offer.
Whilst living in a hostel, Zoe had volunteered for the charity and, after moving out and finding her feet again, she wanted to give something back. She occupies a diverse role at Emmaus helping out across day-to-day operations wherever she can.
Talking about her experience, Zoe said: “I love helping people and generally lending a hand to the community.
“I’m proud of all the work I do, but helping a veteran secure a bed from our superstore, ready for when he got out of hospital was particularly pleasing.
“Having volunteered here for a while my eyes have really been opened and I get a lot out of it.”
