Emmaus Hull & East Riding has received a generous £2,500 donation from the Yorkshire Building Society (YBS) Charitable Foundation, helping us to expand our outreach work, enhance health-focused interventions, and provide life-saving support to people in crisis.

The donation followed a nomination by Helen Simpkin, a customer consultant at the YBS Bridlington branch.

Helen said, “I was looking for charities that really do great work within our community, and with the rise in homelessness in our area, Emmaus really stood out. The work they are doing to support people experiencing street homelessness is truly life changing.”

This support will allow us to continue offering a stable home, tailored support, and meaningful work opportunities to people working to move on from homelessness.

Stephanie Dixon, CEO of Emmaus Hull & East Riding, added: “We are incredibly grateful for this generous donation from the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation. We value this partnership and the shared commitment to creating lasting change in our community.”

At Emmaus Hull & East Riding we provide the foundation of a home and a life-changing package of tailored support. We equip people with valuable skills, training, and work experience to achieve their goals. Working together, we’re ending homelessness one person at a time.
