Your donation will help us to continue providing a home and meaningful work for up to 39 people in our St Albans community.

We offer people an alternative route out of homelessness and the combination of a stable home and the opportunity to learn new skills gives people the time they need to address any issues as well as regain their confidence, self-esteem and dignity so they can rebuild their lives. Your donation will make a direct impact on their lives.

To find out more about the impact of Emmaus and how your donation will help, please visit Our Stories page.

Here you will find stories from the likes of Rob, who lost his son and spiralled into a depression that lasted 11 years before coming to Emmaus, Becky, who spent four months forced to live in a tent in her early 20’s, and Raj, a doctor in his home country of Pakistan who fled religious prosecution but found himself homeless in the UK.

With the support of Emmaus Hertfordshire, Rob is now doing his City and Guilds in Portable Appliance Testing and hopes to gain full-time employment in that area, Becky became out Barnet Shop Manager before leaving to have a baby, and Raj was granted asylum, has now left the community to full-time employment while he takes his medical exams so he can practice medicine in the UK.

Your donation will help people like Rob, Becky and Raj to rebuild their lives. Thank you!
