Emmaus Hertfordshire is a homelessness charity providing 39 formerly homeless people with a safe home environment and the opportunity to work.
We have an unusual financial model and raise the majority of our income from our very successful social enterprises. This includes high street shops, on-line sales, house clearances, pop-ups and many other upcycling projects. We are also about to embark on a significant development project, in partnership with Foodbank, and need a Business Development Manager to help us make all this happen.
We are all about diversification and sustainability. Doing good by helping people achieve their potential and giving them back their self-esteem. You will be a critical part of this, and no 2 days will be the same. You will be helping to build the bids we submit to funders, leading on grant applications, but you will also develop projects with our team to expand our web-sales, our workshops, pop-up shops and also grow our partnerships around the local community.
You’ll need to be able to craft a winning bid, but your enthusiasm, open-mind and dedication to diversify our support for our community will be at least as important to us. We look forward to receiving your application, and we will consider part-time or full-time proposals. You will also definitely need to be a part of the team with an empathic, inclusive and understanding approach, but flexible approaches to working will be welcomed.
Please submit your CV and supporting statement (no more than 2 pages), in a Word document, to email@example.com .
