In the run up to Christmas, Sainsbury’s is supporting Emmaus Hastings & Rother as part of its Brighten a Million Christmases campaign.

Between now and Monday 14 December, you can get involved by…

  • Donating non-perishable food items and toiletries at the drop off point in-store at Sainsbury’s Sedlescombe Road
  • Adding a £1, £2, £5 or £10 donation to your basket or rounding up your bill in-store
  • If you’re shopping online, you can add a donation to your online delivery
  • You can also donate your Nectar card points through the Nectar app or website

Every donation made will be matched by Sainsbury’s up to the value of £4 million. The hope is that, with your help, the Brighten a Million Christmases campaign will feed up to 32 million* people this Christmas.

John was homeless for three and a half years before joining Emmaus Hastings & Rother. He said: “When you’re homeless you don’t know when your next meal will come, so you get used to feeling hungry. Meal times are really important for a lot of people here because of our experiences of homelessness and having no food, so these donations from Sainsbury’s kind customers mean so much to us.”

Thank you to all of our wonderful supporters!
