When is your St Leonards superstore re-opening?
We will re-open our charity superstore at 10am on Tuesday, 16 June.

Will your superstore opening hours stay the same?
Our hours have changed. We will be open 10-4 Tuesday to Saturday and will not open on Sunday or Monday to allow us extra time to clean and prepare the store each week.

Will it be safe to visit your superstore?
Our whole store has been deep cleaned and we have introduced measures to follow the government’s COVID-19 retail guidelines to keep your visit as safe as possible. These include:
  • 72-hour quarantine of all donated goods
  • steam cleaning of all clothing
  • separate entry and exit points to the store with hand sanitiser available
  • signage and floor markings to maintain social distancing
  • an extra till on the first floor
  • screens at tills
  • a limit to customers in the store at any one time
  • regular cleaning of frequently touched surfaces such as handrails, doors, and lift buttons.

How will you protect your staff and companions?
We will continue to adhere to social distancing measures and provide hand sanitiser and PPE (gloves/masks) for our staff and companions that have contact with the public, both in the shop or on our vans.

Do I have to wear facial covering whilst visiting the store ?

To comply with government regulations starting July 24 2020, and for the safety of our customers, staff and companions, we require our visitors to wear a facial covering whilst in our stores. This is mandatory unless you have an exemption.

I have limited mobility. Can I access both floors of your St Leonards superstore?
Yes, we have a lift on site. Note: any visitors requiring the lift will continue to access our shop using the existing entrance (rather than the new one which involves steps). This will be arranged on your arrival.

Will I need to queue to visit your superstore?
It is possible you may need to queue to enter our superstore as we will be limiting the number of customers inside to ensure social distancing. We have introduced an additional till on our top floor to reduce any waiting time to pay for items.

Can I visit your store with my family?
Yes, but please be aware that we will be limiting the number of customers in our store at any one time and if you are with children you will be responsible for them during your visit.

Can I pay with cash at your store?
Card is our preferred method of payment, but we understand this is not always possible and will continue to accept cash payments.

Can I drop off donated items to your Whitworth Road superstore?
Yes, you can bring saleable items to our store during our opening hours of 10-4 but you must call in advance to book a slot. Call on 01424 755111 and choose option 1. Please do not leave donations outside our store at any time.

What will you do with donated items?
All items donated to us will now be isolated in a separate building for 72 hours as per guidelines. After this, they will be sorted, priced, and put in the shop. In addition, all clothing will be steam cleaned after isolation.

Are there any changes to donations you can accept?
As we need to quarantine donations, we have reduced storage space so, in addition to items we do not normally accept, we are now unable to accept the following:

  • bedding of any kind
  • towels
  • curtains
  • toys.

Can I arrange for larger donated items to be collected?
Yes, you can call us on 01424 755111 and choose option 1 to enquire if we are able to accept your donation and to arrange a safe collection. Please note there may be times we are unable to collect or will have to delay collection because we will have limited storage due to the isolation of all donated items for 72 hours.

Are you Bexhill and Battle shops re-opening?
These shops currently remain closed. As they are much smaller shops, we are taking more time to plan the safe re-opening of these. Please do not leave donations outside these shops, if you wish to donate please call us on 01424 755111 and choose option 1.
