CRASH exists to deliver meaningful social impact to communities across the UK by helping homelessness charities and hospices with vital construction projects.  CRASH has been a big supporter of Emmaus Hastings & Rother over many years, supporting with  construction projects which have helped strengthen and shape our offering to the local community. The award was made as part of CRASH’s annual Patrons’ Reception and Above & Beyond Awards to recognise their Corporate Patrons’ achievements, generosity, and loyalty.

As of 2021, we have been providing support, meaningful employment and accommodation to formerly homeless people in the Hastings area for 10 years. Community Manager Zach Hurst attended the awards ceremony to collect the award.

Zach said: “It is an honour to accept this award on behalf of Emmaus Hastings & Rother. I am so proud of the work we have done over the last ten years, and we’re working hard on plans to expand our community, to support even more people and enhance our facilities. We’re grateful to CRASH, and Francesca Roberts and Niamh McCann in particular, for their support. We’re so proud of everything we’ve achieved together.”

Francesca Roberts CEO of CRASH said: “This year was especially challenging as we continued our vital work in the face of lockdowns and restrictions. We’ve had to adapt and do things differently as have all companies and charities.  We’ve been amazed by the resilience, creativity and compassion shown by the people and companies who support us on projects, and by the charities we help.  We have been proud to partner with Emmaus Hastings & Rother and they are deserving recipients of the Tony Denison Award”.
