Are you skilled and experienced in DIY repairs, decorating and building maintenance? We’re looking for a Handyperson Volunteer to help complete minor repairs and maintenance work within Emmaus Hampshire buildings. If you have time to spare, skills to give and want to support a local homelessness charity, then we want to hear from you.

Main duties

  • Internal building repair and maintenance
  • Painting and decorating within our community home
  • Supporting improvements to our charity stores
  • Basic joinery and plumbing repairs
  • Making bespoke fixtures and fittings.

Skills and experience needed

  • Good skills and experience in DIY or property maintenance
  • Ability to carry out basic building repairs and improvements
  • An ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Flexible attitude to types of jobs required within the role
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices and procedures
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and a positive, can-do attitude.

Time commitment

We are looking for new volunteers who can commit between four and eight hours per week (9am-5pm).
