Are you skilled and experienced in DIY repairs, decorating and building maintenance? We’re looking for a Handyperson Volunteer to help complete minor repairs and maintenance work within Emmaus Hampshire buildings. If you have time to spare, skills to give and want to support a local homelessness charity, then we want to hear from you.
Main duties
- Internal building repair and maintenance
- Painting and decorating within our community home
- Supporting improvements to our charity stores
- Basic joinery and plumbing repairs
- Making bespoke fixtures and fittings.
Skills and experience needed
- Good skills and experience in DIY or property maintenance
- Ability to carry out basic building repairs and improvements
- An ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Flexible attitude to types of jobs required within the role
- Knowledge of health and safety practices and procedures
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic and a positive, can-do attitude.
Time commitment
We are looking for new volunteers who can commit between four and eight hours per week (9am-5pm).
