Do you have an eye for detail, a passion for reuse or an interest in charity retail? We’re looking for Charity Shop Volunteers to help out within our Emmaus Hampshire charity stores. If you have time to spare, skills to give and want to support a local homelessness charity, then we want to hear from you.
Main duties
- Process donations, including sorting, pricing and displaying items
- Assist in the day-to-day running of our charity stores
- Help to keep the stores safe, clean, tidy and organised
- Promote Emmaus Hampshire and Emmaus values.
Skills and experience needed
- An interest in or knowledge of the items we stock (e.g. fashion, bric-a-brac or antiques)
- An ability to assess the value of donated items and price them accordingly
- An ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Flexible attitude to types of jobs required within the role
- Teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Respect for Emmaus values and our policies
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic and a positive, can-do attitude.
Time commitment
Our charity stores are open six or seven days per week and we are looking for new volunteers who can commit between four and eight hours per week (9am-5pm).

Training, support and benefits
- As an Emmaus volunteer you will be given an induction when you start
- A staff member will support you throughout your time as a volunteer
