We’re thrilled to announce our plans for a new Wellbeing Centre, a crucial step in our mission to end homelessness.
At Emmaus Hampshire, we believe in providing comprehensive support to our Companions – individuals who have experienced homelessness and Social Exclusion.
A key part of this support is the dedicated work of our support workers who play a vital role in our Companions’ journey, offering guidance, emotional support, and practical assistance as they rebuild their lives.
The relationship between a Companion and their support worker is often transformative, helping to address underlying issues, build confidence, and create a path towards a brighter future. To support this work, we are planning a new Wellbeing Centre that will provide an environment that fosters safety, confidentiality and focus.
Built sympathetically in a corner of our tranquil garden, the Wellbeing Centre will also provide a space for creative workshops that nurture self-expression and a welcoming space for Companion to connect with family members.
But, to make this project a reality we need your help.
Our volunteer fundraising team is ready to make applications for grants and to approach possible corporate partners.
We would love you to show we have the support of the local community by dropping us a comment on this story or writing to the council planners.
Together, we can build a stronger, more supportive community for all.
