In 2020, we joined forces with front-line homelessness organisation, Street Souls, to expand our outreach support across London.
Emmaus Greenwich has formally merged with the Coombe Trust, the parent charity of Street Souls. David Coombe, son of the trust’s founder and CEO of Street Souls, launched the organisation in 2004 to offer practical support and friendship to those living on the streets in central London.
Twice a month, volunteers dish out hot food, clothing, toiletries, sleeping bags and provide moral support to up to 200 people in need.
Alongside Street Souls, we are also incredibly proud to unite with the Coombe Trust’s partner organisation, Artful Pelican. Artful Pelican is a non-profit gallery staffed by volunteers. Its Park Bench studio is a place where artists experiencing homelessness can display their creations. Works sold in the gallery benefit both the artist and others facing homelessness in the city, through the important work of Street Souls.
These new partnerships will give us the chance to support more people in our local community and help take care of some of London’s most vulnerable individuals.
