Emmaus Greenwich is welcoming applications from individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing their home, as the capital continues to see a sharp rise in homelessness.
According to the latest government data, rough sleeping in Tower Hamlets has risen 45% since 2014-15. Laura Fox, Chief Operating Officer at Emmaus Greenwich, said: “What makes these figures even more alarming is that they primarily represent people who have never been seen sleeping rough before.”
“With the increase in cost of living and lack of stable homes for so many, the need for supported accommodation continues to soar. This World Homeless Day (Friday 10 October) we must continue to take action. Our 31-bed purpose-built residential community in Plumstead has rooms available.”
Emmaus Greenwich offers more than a place to stay. We provide long-term, stable housing alongside meaningful work opportunities and personalised support, helping individuals to rebuild their lives, regain confidence, and move towards independence.
We also cover basic living expenses and offer a wide range of personal development opportunities, from driving lessons and wellbeing activities to accredited training and vocational qualifications.
Adults aged 18 and over who are rough sleeping, vulnerably housed, or at risk of homelessness can apply for a room with us.
