Emmaus Greenwich has raised over £160 from its Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 28th September at its second-hand charity shop in Lee.

As Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer, the charity ask people all over the UK to host their own Coffee Mornings and donations on the day are made to Macmillan. Last year alone over £27 million was raised.

Emmaus Greenwich hosted its coffee morning at its second-hand Lee charity shop in Lewisham, with between 30 – 35 people attending to enjoy cakes, coffee and a chat. The total raised from the event was £168.20.


One of the most important parts of the Emmaus ethos is solidarity: helping someone less fortunate than yourself. Emmaus Greenwich Emmaus Greenwich is keen to get involved with local and national charities and awareness days as acts of solidarity, showing that everyone has the capacity to make a difference to the lives of others.
