Available roles:
Van Driver (must be over 25 years old)
Drivers Mate
Location:
Based out of the Emmaus Secondhand Superstore, Chequers Road, Gloucester, GL4 6PN.
Role/ Duties:
- Loading and unloading vans
- Transferring donations between main warehouse in Gloucester and shops in Nailsworth and Stroud
- Taking cardboard recycling to Cheltenham, food bank donations to Gloucester and items that cannot be sold/recycled to local waste facility Javelin Park
- On occasion you may also assist with the van crew’s allocated jobs and visit customer homes to conduct deliveries and collections
- Please note for insurance purposes, drivers must be over 25yrs and have been driving for over 2yrs
Volunteering hours:
Van Driver – Monday & Wednesday (approx 16 hours available)
Drivers Mate – Monday, Wednesday & Friday (approx 24 hours available).
We would ideally like volunteers in our van crew to help for the entire day, however we can be flexible with a minimum of 4 hours per day.
