We are seeking a dynamic yet compassionate individual to lead and develop our online sales team. If you have a knack for maximising online sales opportunities whilst able to coach and mentor vulnerable adults, this role is perfect for you.

Who are we?

Emmaus Gloucestershire supports people to work their way out of homelessness. As a not-for-profit charity the revenue that we generate through our charity shops provides up to 26 companions with meaningful work in our social enterprise, training, support and a stable home for as long as they need it. It enables them to restore feelings of self-worth and that actions make a real difference to their own lives, and the lives of others.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and optimise our e-commerce platforms to drive sales and increase conversion rates, as well as set budgets and forecasts for the online operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve user experience and streamline the online shopping process.
  • Monitor key metrics such as traffic and return on investment (ROI) to identify areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Coordinate the prompt dispatch of purchases for timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Grow and develop the sales revenue through strategic initiatives, promotions, and partnerships.
  • Work closely with our companions (formerly homeless individuals) to support their learning and development within the E-commerce space.
  • Analyse e-commerce data and prepare detailed reports for submission to our senior leaders and the board of trustees, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision making.
  • Contribute to the overall success of Emmaus Gloucestershire’s mission to end homelessness.

Requirements:

Please note this position will be based in Gloucester initially before relocating to Cheltenham later in the year.

  • Experience of online sales and buying e.g. eBay, Amazon, Depop, Shopiago is essential.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
  • An effective team player with the ability to lead and empower a team of companions and volunteers
  • Belief in the capability of individuals and an understanding of the importance of community to help them achieve their potential.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with an ability to excel with other people and be a great communicator.
  • Commitment to the Emmaus values, modeling, solidarity and to environmental sustainability and re-use.
  • Driving license essential.
