We have received a £4,000 donation boost from Cheltenham-based business Just Fabrics to help people who have been homeless.

The donation was raised by the family run company through its two-day annual charity clearance sale in March which saw shoppers receive huge discounts on roll ends, remnants, craft bags, homewares, and curtain poles.

We have been helping people rebuild their lives since 1993 and will put the donation towards the services we provides for people who have been homeless, including accommodation, work experience, daily support, and funded training.

Thanking Just Fabrics for its generosity, Joe Feeley, our Chief Executive, said:

“This is an incredible donation and to benefit from the Just Fabrics clearance sale for a second year means so much to our charity and the people we support. I would like to thank the team at Just Fabrics on behalf of everyone at Emmaus Gloucestershire. They worked extremely hard to hold a two-day event and made a very generous donation to us. On top of that, they have also taken the time to learn more about what our charity does and have helped to spread the word about our work in the process. We are so grateful for the continued support from the team at Just Fabrics.”

The charity clearance sale that Just Fabrics held for us in 2020 raised £3,500, making the total donation to our charity £7,500 in the space of two years.

Commenting on two years of support, Ross Pieters, Manager Director at Just Fabrics, said:

“Thank you to all our customers who came to support our second charity clearance event for Emmaus and for their very generous donations – it’s an honour to have raised £4,000 for the charity. I hope the money raised from the event will support the fantastic work Emmaus do in and around Gloucestershire.

“It is important to me and the whole team at Just Fabrics to support our local community and choosing to support Emmaus has been an easy choice for us here at Just Fabrics. Homelessness is a matter close to my heart, and the hard work and dedication of the charity to not only provide people with a safe home, but also provide meaningful work in a community setting is commendable.”
