Thank you to members of the Glasgow office of law firm Irwin Mitchell for making a generous donation to Emmaus Glasgow this Christmas.
Each month employees from Irwin Mitchell are invited to give to a charity of their choice, and members of staff from the office on 150 St Vincent Street in the city chose Emmaus Glasgow for our work with homeless people.
Emmaus Glasgow supports up to 27 people with experience of homelessness by providing a safe place to live, learn and work at our charity shops in Hamiltonhill and Partick in Glasgow. We also support disadvantaged people with training and help the environment by recycling goods otherwise destined for landfill.
Emmaus Glasgow Director Richard Allwood said: “Thank you so much to Irwin Mitchell for your kind donation. This money will help us give people a home, meaningful work in a social enterprise and an opportunity to regain lost self-esteem to help rebuild their lives. This is amazing news for our homelessness charity.”
