A huge thank you to Frasers Property UK team for smashing a fundraising target to raise £2,420 for Emmaus Glasgow.
Fiona McLelland, Derek Aitken, Julia Cheung Buchanan and Grant Edmondson embarked on a sponsored Winter Solstice Charity Walk, trekking 16 miles along the Ayrshire Coastal Path between Ayr and Irvine to help us help homeless people.
The team raised the money through Just Giving, setting an initial target of £1,000.
Derek Aitken, who is based at Hillington Park in Glasgow said: “The problem of homelessness is just escalating greatly in Glasgow. Even in the city centre we’re seeing a lot more homeless people. We wanted to do something close to all our hearts.”
Kind donations from fundraisers and income from our two reuse shops in the city go towards providing a home, support and meaningful work for people with experience of homelessness at our charity shops in Partick and Hamiltonhill.
