For phase one of our Building a Better Future project, we have been working with local company HGT Construction to build a brand new upcycling workshop. And here it is!
The new workshop will be a place where our skilled companions can restore and upcycle donated furniture that needs a little love, before we put it up for sale in our shops.
Debbie Stevenson, Community Manager at Emmaus Dover, said: “We are very grateful to all of the foundations, trusts, groups and individuals who have financially contributed to this project. We would not have been able to build our new workshop without their help.”
Construction for the new workshop started at the beginning of the year and now we’re just about ready to get it all set up.
