As part of its Brighten a Million Christmases campaign, our local Sainsbury’s has donated an incredible £1,765.60 to help support our community.

Between 1-14 December 2020, customers got involved in Sainsbury’s festive campaign by…

  • Adding a £1, £2, £5 or £10 donation to their shopping basket
  • Rounding up their food bill in-store
  • Adding a donation to their online Sainsbury’s shop
  • Donating their Nectar card points through the app

Sainsbury’s promised to match every donation made to Emmaus Dover throughout this two-week period, and we are so grateful to have received a total of £1,765.60.

This donation from Sainsbury’s and its wonderful customers will go towards phase two of our Building a Better Future Project, which aims to fund a new retail space at our community base, Archcliffe Fort.

Companion Peter said: “In this difficult time we are all experiencing, we are delighted to receive this kind donation from Sainsbury’s. It is appreciated more than ever. This money will help to brighten many lives in our community.”
