We are feeling very grateful for the huge £17,500 donation we have received from the Freemasons.

The latest national lockdown forced us to close our shops for a fourth time, resulting in a substantial loss of income needed to support our community. This grant from the Freemasons is helping to cover the cost of food, household bills, living expenses and professional development for the 27 formerly homeless people we support (known as companions).

Debra Stevenson, Community Manager at Emmaus Dover, said: “Hearing the news about the Freemasons’ donation brought smiles to our companions’ faces and brightened everyone’s day.

“This generous grant is helping us get through another lockdown with a little more financial security and will keep our vulnerable companions safe in their community.”

Thank you 💚
