2020 has been a difficult year for everyone, and for single dad Bobby it has been especially tough.
After falling on hard times, Bobby and his two young daughters were placed in emergency accommodation in Dover. However, with very little furniture, the place didn’t feel like home.
Giving back to those less fortunate than us is a big part of our ethos here at Emmaus Dover, and we always do what we can to look out for people who’re suffering in the local community – particularly during these challenging times.
Once we’d heard Bobby’s news, we decided to load up our van with furniture, household goods and kitchenware and deliver it all to the family.
Bobby was over the moon when he received the donations. He said: “Had it not been for Emmaus Dover, my family would have been left with nothing. I cannot express how thankful I am to your community. You gave us hope when we were surrounded by darkness and for that I will be forever grateful.”
