Members of Emmaus Dover recently attended the Emmaus National Assembly in Warwick, where communities and groups from across the UK come together.

Debra Stevenson, CEO at Emmaus Dover, was presented with the Founders Medal Award, in recognition of her significant contributions to the Emmaus Community.

This well-deserved award celebrates her 18 years of dedication to Emmaus Dover, where she has led the way in transforming our community – expanding our capacity, renovating spaces, and building new ones, allowing us to support 27 companions at a time. She has also brought onboard a counsellor and recovery worker once a week to increase the support offered to companions at the Dover community.

Debra is a true pillar of the community, always there for companions, staff, and volunteers alike. Whether it’s participating in social events, giving back through solidarity actions, or simply keeping her door open to everyone, she embodies the Emmaus spirit.
