On 27 and 28 May we opened our new mini garden centre to the public. Over the last few months companions have been working hard to get the centre ready, preparing seedlings and growing plants in the greenhouses, as well as gathering together a fantastic selection of beautiful garden equipment and much more.
Over the weekend visitors were able to browse the garden centre, which has been named the Castle View Garden, a name chosen by one of our regular supporters Mrs Mac thanks to our fantastic view of Dover castle. We had an amazing day, raising over £2,200 in sales from the garden, café and shop, which will go back into our social enterprise.
The Garden will now be open alongside our regular shop opening times, Monday – Friday from 9am – 4:30pm.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to our amazing companions who worked so hard to create a beautiful new garden space, which we are sure will be enjoyed for a long time to come.
