Thanks to young volunteers
A thoughtful group of young people today volunteered at our Red Lane shop and our city centre accommodation.
The 11 young people were taking part in the National Citizen Service's 'The Challenge', which offers 15 to 17 year olds the opportunity to try new things, learn new skills, and meet new people.
The volunteers helped out with tasks in the shop, working alongside our companions. James O'Leary (pictured), one of the young people, enjoyed spending time with companion Stuart, learning how to service and repair bicycles to be sold in the shop.
We would like to thank the NCS team for the time they have spent with us; it is always great when young people support local charities in this way, and we hope that spending time with our companions will help them see the value of the work we do.
