Our Coventry-based charity is on the lookout for new trustees to help drive our organisation forward.
Emmaus Coventry & Warwickshire provides a home, meaningful work, funded training and support to people who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion. We believe that this combination is vital in helping people to rebuild their lives.
Trustees play an important role, volunteering their time and working together to support and steer the direction of our organisation. Emmaus Coventry & Warwickshire is encouraging trustee applications from anyone who would like to help make a difference and especially those with experience of social care or working with vulnerable adults.
We’re keen to maintain and develop the diversity of our Board of Trustees and encourage young people to get involved. In return, Emmaus can provide young people with trustee experience as they are building their careers.
New trustees will be joining at an exciting time. Our charity currently has bedrooms for up to 17 people at our site in Binley; we’re working towards increasing our accommodation to provide support for more people.
Our Chair of Trustees Andrew Stockdale said: “The recent cost of living crisis means that sadly Emmaus is needed more than ever. We’re looking for new trustees to help us deliver our vision of supporting more people across Coventry and Warwickshire.
“If you feel that you have something to contribute, please do get in touch. We look forward to welcoming new faces to our small, committed board, as we get started with our exciting new expansion plans.”
Trustees meet every two months and, when time allows, are invited to contribute to an additional committee group. We provide a full induction and training, and offer reimbursements for travel expenses, should this be required.
