We are looking for a Development/Support Worker to join our team at Emmaus Coventry & Warwickshire. This exciting new role involves supporting previously homeless people to develop to their full potential.

Our charity supports formerly homeless people, by providing accommodation, support, training and the opportunity for meaningful work. Our community home is based in Binley, Coventry and we run a charity shop on Red Lane in the city centre, along with a warehouse nearby. The people we support are referred to as ‘companions’.

The Development/Support Worker will provide support to our companions, who need help both emotionally and practically, so they can live and work in our community, develop life skills and realise their full potential to move on when they are ready. The Development/Support Worker will work alongside companions within our shop and warehouse in Coventry, and therefore needs to show flexibility in all aspects of retail activities.

Line managed by our Support Manager, the Development/Support Worker will also work collaboratively with our Retail Development Manager who has overall responsibility for retail operations.

• Salary of £19,380 per annum
• Working Hours – 40 hours Mon-Friday. 1 Saturday in every 4 when fully staffed
