We’re excited to share how horse therapy has made a positive difference to one of the people our homelessness charity supports.
Thanks to the amazing team at Nuneaton & North Warwickshire Equestrian Centre, he’s recently taken part in free horse therapy sessions, which have played a key role in his journey of healing and personal growth.
Horse therapy is a unique form of therapy where people work with horses to improve their emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing. It’s known for helping to build trust, reduce stress, and boost emotional awareness – benefits that are especially valuable for those rebuilding their lives after homelessness.
In the photo, you’ll see Blackie, the therapy horse, who’s been a big part of the healing process. The sessions have already had a great impact, and we’re thrilled to announce we now have funding from Emmaus UK’s Companion Training & Wellbeing Fund to enable him to start horse riding lessons, something he’s really looking forward to.
A big thank you to Nuneaton & North Warwickshire Equestrian Centre for their support in this special form of therapy.
We’re so happy to continue offering these life-changing opportunities to the people we support.
