Sponsor our Coventry Cathedral Abseil!
On 19th July 2025, a team from Emmaus Coventry & Warwickshire will be taking on a thrilling abseil down the iconic Coventry Cathedral.
Three people we support and two staff members will be stepping over the edge to raise vital funds for a new boiler in our charity’s accommodation building. We are applying for grants, but these won’t cover the full cost. We’re aiming to raise £8,000 through this abseil challenge.

Your local homelessness charity
Emmaus Coventry & Warwickshire is a local charity dedicated to helping those who have faced homelessness to turn their lives around. We offer safe accommodation, support and work opportunities, so people can rebuild their lives. We currently have space to accommodate 17 people at our accommodation in Binley, Coventry. Everyone has their own bedroom, and we have several shared living spaces and a large garden area. We provide meals, clothing and toiletries. Watch a video tour of our accommodation on YouTube.
Why do we need a new boiler?
Our accommodation building is a lovely old building – a former vicarage, in fact. For the past 30 years we’ve transformed it into a cosy place – a safe space for people to feel secure and and at home. We try to be as energy efficient as possible and recently got some funding for new windows to help us keep warm in winter. However, our boiler is on its last legs, and it’s a big one (because it needs to be able to heat a home for 17 people). We can’t afford to replace it; hopefully our grant applications will be able to cover some of the cost, but for the rest we’re hoping you can help.
