One of the most important parts of the Emmaus ethos is solidarity. This means working to help someone less fortunate than yourself.

When our Emmaus Cornwall community is open, the people we support will be encouraged to help those in greater need than themselves. For many companions, which is the term we use for service-users, having a positive impact on others helps to restore the self-esteem that they lost when they were homeless.
