This Easter, we’re supporting low-income families and vulnerable children with our Operation Easter scheme.

With Reed Recruitment, we’re collecting donations of Easter eggs to gift out to families across the city. We want to make this year the biggest year of the campaign yet – and we need your help! Please donate chocolate easter eggs to our warehouse or Emmaus Works Shop until Friday 11th April to make a difference to someone’s Easter.

Our CEO, Brian explains why the campaign is so important: “Through our social enterprises we meet a lot of families who are struggling financially, the cost of living is still incredibly high and something like an Easter egg is a huge luxury for many. Although a small action, sharing kindness like this can make a big impact”

We’ll be donating Easter eggs to local organisations and hospitals to reach people who are struggling financially and are facing isolation. This year the organisations include wellbeing hubs at C3 Church, the Boaz Project, a local women’s refuge, Kelly’s Kafé and the Children’s ward a Colchester Hospital.

Christian Spaul, from Reed Recruitment supports the campaign each year by encouraging clients to donate Easter eggs. He shares “By donating Easter Eggs to Colchester General Hospital’s Children’s Ward, as well as to children in homes, groups, and charities, we are able spread smiles and support to low-income families in the CO postcode area. The collective effort from our clients not only fosters a sense of community but also reminds us of the power of generosity and compassion. It’s always amazing to see the huge stack of Easter Eggs that have been donated”
