Emmaus Colchester are delighted to announce that Protocol Theatre will be supporting the charity during its production of Radiant Vermin, at Colchester’s Headgate Theatre between 14-19 October.

Radiant Vermin, written by Philip Ridley, is a dark comedy with a poignant message about homelessness and has been described as somewhere between Macbeth and Little Shop of Horrors.

Richard Bland, founder and Artistic Director at Protocol Theatre said: “We decided to support Emmaus Colchester because I and several artists in Colchester have noticed the extreme rise in homelessness on the streets. We already put on a charity event every Christmas to support the homeless, but the themes of the Radiant Vermin are specifically about society’s attitudes towards homelessness. We thought it was an excellent opportunity to engage the local community and your charity.”

There will be collection buckets on the doors to raise funds for Emmaus Colchester and literature available for the audience to gain further insight into the work of the charity.
