Emmaus Colchester has received £19,158 from Postcode Neighbourhood Trust, a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
The financial boost has enabled Emmaus Colchester to pay for an additional full–time driver to meet the requirements of the charity’s operations.
Experienced driver, Paul Reynolds, has been appointed in the role. He joins two other drivers who, alongside Paul, have been former companions at the charity.
Darren Scott, Business Manager at Emmaus Colchester said: “The award has provided us with the support to meet our transport demands in terms of providing collections for donated furniture, deliveries of purchases and our house clearance service – all of which are in high demand. The funding is a much welcome resource to help us manage the day-to-day logistics of the social enterprise.”
