“Here at Emmaus Colchester, the health and welfare of our companions, volunteers, staff and trustees, along with our supporters, customers and local residents is our number one priority. The information below details the changes we are making during this unprecedented time.
Our shop, Emmaus Works in Osborne Street remains open as usual during 9am – 5pm. Emmaus New Life and Café in Crouch Street and Emmaus Emporium on the High Street will be closing at 5pm on Friday 20th March, until Friday 27th March 2020. We will review our shop openings on a weekly basis.
We are following Government advice by putting measures in place to minimise the risk to everyone. This includes increasing our cleaning rota, emphasising proper handwashing and precautions to take to avoid the spread of the virus.
For the safety of everyone at our community, we kindly ask that anyone who may pose a health risk does not visit us until they’re feeling better and are out of a self-isolation period. If you’re feeling under the weather, have recently returned from an affected area or have been in contact with people who are ill, please do not visit Emmaus Colchester.
