Our Christmas Appeal this year is focusing on the unique nature of Emmaus Cambridge in providing people who have experienced homelessness with more than just a roof over their heads.
Our More Than a Roof campaign recognises that we provide more than just shelter and a bed for the night. Our safe and welcoming community supports people as they rebuild their lives and empowers them to shape a brighter future for themselves.
Our work is only possible because of the kindness of people like you. Your vital support ensures that people who live and gain work experience in Emmaus Cambridge regain confidence, learn new skills and move forward.
In choosing to stand beside them, you’re giving more than shelter – you’re providing them with purpose and hope.
Donna Talbot, our Chief Executive Officer said: “This Christmas, you can be the difference for someone here in our community. You can help someone find more than shelter during a time of year which can often be challenging and lead people to feel lonely remembering good festive periods in the past, or sadly recalling less positive Christmas occasions.
“You can give them a community to stand alongside them, a safe place to rebuild and the chance to move towards a brighter future.
“Every pound you contribute to our Christmas Appeal will help us create a community where everyone has what they need to thrive: more than a roof – a place to belong.”
Emmaus provides a supportive, welcoming community – people who care, listen, and stand alongside companions on their journey
Emmaus goes beyond a bed for the night. Companions gain meaningful work experience, skills and the chance to rebuild their lives with dignity
With the right support, people move from surviving to thriving. Emmaus empowers individuals to move towards independent living and brighter futures.
