Our Landbeach Shop has been shortlisted for the UK’s Favourite Charity Shop Awards 2025 – and we’re calling on our supporters to vote for us!

The winner will be chosen by public vote – open until 2 October – and you can help us win the award by voting here. Our charity is among six nominees for the East of England region, and is the only Cambridgeshire charity shop to be nominated.

The Awards, run by the Charity Retail Association, are now in their second year and are a celebration of the impact that charity shops have within their local communities. For many, charity shops are more than a place to pick up a secondhand bargain – they are community hubs that employ local people, help volunteers find friendship, and offer support to those with first-hand experience of the causes they support.

“Huge range of stock”

More than 5,000 nominations were received this year and, as part of the process, people were asked to share why they were nominating their favourite shop. When asked what makes Emmaus Cambridge so special, one happy nominee said:

“It’s huge range of stock – I’ve furnished much of my house, including furniture and kitchen things, as well as getting many of my clothes. The cafe is great too. It’s not just a shop you pop in to for a little browse – you can spend a few hours here.”

“Really the best staff ever! Make you feel really welcome on my weekly trip. Fantastic items and the prices are just the best around.”

Donna Talbot, our Chief Executive Officer said:

“We are absolutely delighted and very proud to be nominated for this prestigious award.

“Our team, including the people we support after homelessness, work very hard to make our shops and our community a welcoming destination for people to spend time relaxing, browsing our huge array of preloved stock and visiting our coffee shop.

“A huge thank you to our wonderful and loyal customers for nominating us, we really appreciate your support. We couldn’t do it without you! Please click the button to vote for us – our whole community would be absolutely made up to win this fantastic award!”

Robin Osterley OBE, Chief Executive of the Charity Retail Association, said:

“Congratulations to all the shops that made the shortlist and thank you to everyone who made a nomination. The level of support the Awards continue to inspire highlights just how much charity shops mean to their local communities. We are now calling on the public to cast their votes and decide which shops will be crowned winners in 12 areas across the UK.”

Voting closes at midnight on 2 October. To see all the shortlisted shops and for more details about the Awards, visit the awards page.
