Phil Williams completed the Cambridge Half Marathon on Sunday 4 March, raising £280 for Emmaus Cambridge.

Phil, who has been a regular customer at our shop for years, finished the marathon in 2:22:48, despite suffering a calf muscle injury just 2 miles into the event.

We’d like to say a massive congratulations and thank you to Phil for choosing Emmaus Cambridge to fundraise for. Not only did Phil test his endurance whilst dedicating his time to training for the marathon, but he also raised vital funds for our community.

Speaking of why he choose Emmaus Cambridge, Phil said:

“We know that overcoming homelessness often means more than a roof over your head. That’s why Emmaus supports people to work their way out of homelessness, providing meaningful work as well as a stable home for as long as someone needs it.”
