Emmaus Cambridge is a charity and social enterprise, providing a home for up to 44 formerly homeless people (companions) who are working their way out of homelessness. To fund our community and provide meaningful work for companions, we collect and sell pre-loved clothes, furniture and other goods in our large warehouse in Landbeach.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and energetic person to become the driving force in the engine room of our social enterprise.
You will need to be commercially aware, well organised and dedicated with a hands-on approach. You will have the passion and skills to motivate a team of companions and volunteers in order to maximise income from our donations.
We’re a unique destination that offers a welcoming and alternative shopping experience that also promotes what we do as a charity, with the companion workforce at its centre.
The post holder will work closely with the business team to create workable systems in our warehouse and help to enhance our retail offer to achieve the vision for the shop.
If you are looking for a challenge in a busy environment, have an open mind, sense of humour, and have the ability to juggle jellyfish, Emmaus Cambridge could be the place for you.
The post will be subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring check for work with vulnerable adults.
For an initial conversation, please contact Diane Docherty or Graham Haynes on 01223 863657 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
